Global Volunteer Recognition Program Volunteer App

App Home Privacy Notice Children's Privacy Delete Account
Parent-operated accounts, September 13, 2026: Adults may record their children's volunteer hours using their own name, email, and password. The parent must personally operate the account; the child may not sign in or use it. This option is available on Free and Premium plans without signed forms or video verification. New independent accounts for children under 13 are not offered. The minor consent process described below applies to independent teen accounts and existing consent records. See the Parent Account Agreement.

Effective date: September 8, 2026

These Terms of Use form an agreement between the person using the app and Global Volunteer Recognition Program LLC, also called “Global Volunteer Recognition Program,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice.

1. The Service

The Global Volunteer Recognition Program Volunteer App provides a private volunteer journal, timer, hour tracker, CSV export, and digital in-app badges. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Eligibility and Minor Users

Adults may create and manage their own accounts. Users under 18 require permission from a parent or legal guardian. New independent accounts for users under 13 are not offered. A parent may instead personally keep records in a parent-operated account.

A parent or guardian approving a minor’s account agrees to supervise the minor’s use, ensure submitted information is appropriate, and contact Global Volunteer Recognition Program if consent should be withdrawn. See the Children’s Privacy Notice.

3. Accounts and Security

Provide accurate account information, protect your password and device, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You may not share credentials in a way that allows another person to impersonate you. Global Volunteer Recognition Program may restrict access to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with law.

4. User-Submitted Records

You control what optional information you enter. You are responsible for ensuring journal entries, photographs, signatures, and other submissions are accurate, lawful, and appropriate. Do not upload another person’s sensitive information, photograph, or signature without authority and permission.

The app is a recordkeeping aid. User-submitted hours are not independently verified merely because they appear in the app. A supervisor name, checkbox, or signature does not guarantee acceptance by a school, employer, award program, government agency, or other organization.

5. In-App Badges and Official Global Volunteer Recognition Program Recognition

Digital badges earned inside the app are motivational features based on logged activity or administrator action. They are separate from official Global Volunteer Recognition Program Volunteer Achievement Badges, awards, certifications, certificates, medals, pins, or verified-hour determinations offered through other Global Volunteer Recognition Program programs. An in-app badge does not establish eligibility for a separate Global Volunteer Recognition Program product or recognition.

6. Free and Premium Access

The app may offer Free and Premium features. We will describe the features, price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation method before purchase. Existing approved purchasers may be grandfathered into Premium access as described at launch.

Purchases made through Apple, Google, Shopify, or another provider are also governed by that provider’s terms. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a recurring subscription. Subscription cancellation and refund eligibility are handled under the applicable purchase channel and posted refund policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Use the app unlawfully, fraudulently, or to misrepresent volunteer work.
  • Access another person’s account or data without authorization.
  • Upload malicious code, illegal content, or content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
  • Probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass the app’s security or access controls, except where applicable law expressly permits.
  • Use automated systems to scrape the service or create abusive traffic.
  • Submit a signature or approval while falsely claiming to be a supervisor, parent, guardian, or other authorized person.

8. Ownership and Limited License

Global Volunteer Recognition Program and its licensors own the app, branding, design, text, software, and badge system, excluding content users submit. Subject to these terms, Global Volunteer Recognition Program grants you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of your submitted content. You give Global Volunteer Recognition Program a limited license to host, process, display back to you, export, secure, and delete that content as needed to operate the service and honor your requests. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to limited backup and legal retention.

9. Privacy and Device Permissions

Our Privacy Notice explains data practices. GPS, photographs, and signatures are optional. Device permissions may be denied without losing the basic ability to make a journal entry. Do not enable precise location or upload sensitive media on a shared device unless appropriate.

10. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third-party hosting, authentication, payment, email, and mapping services. Their own terms and notices may apply when you interact with them. Global Volunteer Recognition Program is not responsible for a third-party service outside our reasonable control.

11. Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security events, provider outages, or legal requirements may affect availability. We may change or discontinue features, and we will provide notice when a change materially affects paid access or privacy rights.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available.” Global Volunteer Recognition Program disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

The app does not provide legal, tax, employment, educational, or professional advice. Users should confirm record and verification requirements with the organization that will receive their volunteer information.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Global Volunteer Recognition Program will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost opportunities, or decisions made by third parties based on user-submitted records. Global Volunteer Recognition Program’s total liability relating to the app will not exceed the amount the user paid for app access during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

14. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the app or request deletion at any time. Global Volunteer Recognition Program may suspend or terminate access for material violations, fraud, threats to safety or security, or legal requirements. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export information before termination, unless doing so would create risk or violate law.

15. Account Deletion

You may initiate deletion from the app or the public Delete Account page. A seven-day cancellation period helps prevent accidental deletion. We ordinarily complete verified requests within 30 days. Associated personal data will be deleted unless limited retention is legally necessary.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado and applicable United States federal law, without limiting consumer rights that apply in the user’s home jurisdiction. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. Before filing a claim, the parties are encouraged to contact each other and attempt a good-faith informal resolution.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when required, presented for renewed acceptance. Continued use after a nonmaterial update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
